Why We Grow This Medicine
We are cultivators. We grow things by hand, in soil and substrate we tend, on land we're learning. That is where this begins.
Growing fungi has taught us that these beautiful organisms are not passive. They respond. They adapt. They have been doing this for hundreds of millions of years, and they have things to teach us that we are only beginning to understand.
Psilocybin mushrooms are part of that mysterious queendom. They have been used as medicine and sacrament for thousands of years across cultures and continents. That knowledge was suppressed, dismissed, and criminalized for most of the twentieth century. It is returning now — through clinical research, through shifting law, and through the quiet testimony of people whose lives have been genuinely altered by an honest encounter with this medicine.
We started LOON because we believe in growing things responsibly. We believe preparation and integration are not optional — they are the practice. We believe this medicine deserves the same care in cultivation, handling, and presentation that we bring to everything else we grow. And we believe the people who seek it out deserve honest information, not hype.
We are not therapists. We are not researchers. We are farmers and stewards who take this work seriously and want to do it right. LOON is our commitment to that.
